The competition application window for the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave 2.2 is now open, providing up to £80m for social housing retrofit projects in England.
This top-up fund will provide up to £80m in grant funding to help social housing landlords with the installation of energy efficiency measures, such as insulation and heat pumps in social rent properties. As with previous waves of funding, it will work towards supporting those living in the most fuel-poor households in the UK.
As one of the UK’s largest decarbonisation solutions providers, we have extensive experience managing large-scale SHDF projects for registered social landlords. We were one of a small number of organisations that have delivered decarbonisation projects at scale under every wave of SHDF funding – including the Demonstrator stage – along with Local Authority Delivery (LAD) and the Home Upgrade Grant (HUG).
Through this experience, we have successfully delivered upgrades to thousands of properties under the earlier SHDF phases and are currently delivering in excess of £100m in works under Wave 2.1. To see more details about these schemes, go to our projects page.
Our team also holds a great deal of specialism in helping clients secure the all-important funding that allows them to make a difference to real people and communities. So far this year, we have directly helped clients to secure millions of SHDF Wave 2.1 grant funding, which was also match funded.
This expertise can help us support and partner with clients to develop successful SHDF Wave 2.2 submissions through the creation of evidence-backed applications. Our services can help analyse your existing housing stock, identify properties most suitable for inclusion, and assess and model outcomes to ensure they meet competition requirements. All the while, the combines with setting realistic budget costs and deliverable programmes to ensure success. Eligible bidders will have until 19 January 2024 to submit applications.
