In December 2019, Citizen Housing (formerly West Midlands Housing) confirmed that Sustainable Building Services (SBS) had been awarded a new contract involving the installation of external wall insulation and associated works to 84 occupied properties in Coventry.
Due to start in February, the 6-month project was put out on open tender, and SBS won on the basis of quality and price.
The work will involve applying an external wall insulation system to 74 solid brick wall properties, including eight flats. Three properties will have new render only. Works will also include fitting new fascias, soffits and replacement guttering at various locations.
The ECO3 / PAS 2030-compliant EWI system that has been selected is the EPS Premium System with Dry Dash, Brick Effect Render, K Finish and Brick Slips finishes, all manufactured and supplied by PermaRock Products Ltd.
This is not the first time that SBS and Citizen Housing have worked together. The relationship now goes back more than two and a half years, to a time when SBS completed another EWI project featuring a number of residential blocks.
