In February 2020, SBS received confirmation that it had won a place on the latest generation of the Fusion 21 Energy Efficiency Framework.
This is our third successive appointment to the framework, having previously won places in 2011 and 2015 – all for a duration of four years.
On this latest framework, we submitted bids for two lots: Lot 1, “External Wall Insulation & Associated Works”, and Lot 3, “Cladding & Associated Works.” (Fusion 21 defines this as cladding systems that can be applied into both domestic & non-domestic buildings, including curtain walling and innovative thermal performance improvement measures.)
The submission was based principally (60%) on quality, on which we scored very highly. The framework extends to a total of 14 regions, covering the whole of the UK, and we secured places on all of them.
The types of property covered by the framework include, amongst others, housing, education, health and the wider public sector. The resulting schemes will depend on the requirements of individual Fusion 21 members.
“This is welcome news,” said SBS Group Commercial Director Gary Lawson. “We’ve maintained excellent working links with Fusion 21 for many years now, and this latest win complements the suite of F21 frameworks on which we’ve secured places over the last 12 months.”
These other recent Fusion 21 framework wins have included:
- Construction Works & Improvements Framework (projects over £500k)
- Construction Works & Improvements Framework (projects under £500k)
- Painting, Decorating & Associated Repairs Framework
All the above frameworks have a duration of four years.
