As one of our Apprentice Quantity Surveyors, Amber Lawton is gaining invaluable experience. Working both on-site and in the office, she has been learning a variety of skills, from liaising with sub-contractors to learning the ins and outs of cash flow and revenue forecasting.

Amber wanted to start working as soon as she left college but also wanted to get a degree. A degree apprenticeship with chartered pathway was therefore the perfect option.

The theme for NAW 2023 was "Skills for Life". It reflected on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge they need to build a rewarding career while enabling businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills. This is precisely what Amber is now doing through her on-the-job training and associated studies.
